LONDON — Tempus Group-owned media buying and planning specialist CIA has promoted Mainardo de Nardis to the new post of worldwide CEO of a newly consolidated network uniting all CIA regions — Europe, Asia, Africa and the U.S. — under one brand: CIA Worldwide.

Mr. De Nardis has been with CIA for 15 years, most recently in the post of chief executive officer for the European region.

The new structure aims to build a "one company, many offices" culture, with more than 60 offices reporting to a worldwide board managed by Mr. De Nardis and chaired by David Reich, currently chairman of CIA and CEO of Tempus.

As part of unifying the CIA brand, the network will further integrate the complementary skills of sister Tempus Group agencies such as brand development agency Added Value; full service digital agency Outrider; branding, identity, design agency Brown KSDP and econometrics specialist OHAL.

Mr. De Nardis joined CIA in 1993 when Medianetwork — the Italian agency of which he was a partner — became the first operation outside the U.K. to join CIA. After moving from Milan to London to take up the role of European MD of CIA Medianetwork, Mr. De Nardis embarked on an aggressive acquisition drive across Europe.

Chris Ingram, executive chairman, CIA, London, said, "Mainardo is a wonderful example of the culture we have built here. No one has done more than him to help build CIA's network in such a comparatively short time, so it's entirely fitting that he is CIA's first global CEO."
