LONDON – Omnicom Group’s PHD has won the €100m (£67m) Central and Eastern European Unilever media buying account, which was reviewed out of Interpublic’s Initiative.

PHD will now run media buying for Unilever, owner of brands such as Dove and Flora, in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and the Slovak Republic. It is likely to take over the work in January next year.

MindShare retains responsibility for the account in Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Serbia. It is the final piece of media buying to be reviewed in the region for Unilever. In an earlier review, Initiative retained media buying for Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus.
