SHANGHAI – FutureBrand announces the appointment of Monica Lee(李怡静) and Andre Hsieh(谢祯舜) as co-managing directors of the firm’s Greater China operation.

“This move underlines our commitment to providing clients on the mainland and throughout Greater China with the best combination of local knowledge and global expertise with the goal of creating iconic, authentic Asian brands,” said Gavin Coombes, Asia Pacific CEO of FutureBrand.

Lee and Hsieh join FutureBrand having each led successful careers in branding as well as PR and advertising.

Lee began her career in the PR industry specializing in corporate, finance and science & technology communications. Before coming to FutureBrand, she worked for The Brand Union in Shanghai as general manager and senior consultant.

Hsieh brings 30 years of experience advertising, sales promotion, direct marketing and corporate identity consulting. At Enterprise IG (now The Brand Union), Hsieh held the positions of managing director in Taiwan and chief creative officer of in China. Most recently, he founded his own brand consultancy, SALT Designworks, in Taiwan.

The appointments augment FutureBrand’s current leadership team. Hong Kong will remain central to the firm’s Greater China operations with Po Cheung, formerly managing director, becoming executive director overseeing southern China. Edward Chau, formerly business development director, will become executive director in Beijing focusing on mainland China. Under the new setup, Cheung, Chau, Lee and Hsieh will comprise a four-person Executive Committee (ExCo).
