Shanghai – PHD has appointed Ali Zein Kazmi (pictured) as its digital director to oversee all aspects of the network’s digital business for the Unilever portfolio in China.

Kazmi has over ten years of experience in digital communication and business development in China. Prior to PHD, he worked on blue-chip brands like Pernod Ricard’s Chivas, Martell Noblige and Absolut, Nokia and Nike.

He will report to Mark Heap, managing director of PHD China.

“His knowledge of the digital landscape in China will definitely add value to our delivery in terms of client strategic communication planning service, as well as capitalising maximum market opportunities to drive business results,” says Heap.

Kazmi was born in Saudi Arabia but lived in China for the last 14 years. He speaks English, Mandarin, German, Spanish and Urdu.
