Shanghai – Following a neck-and-neck pitch, Optimedia(突破传播), unit of ZenithOptimedia has beaten off Mindshare Shanghai to land the media account of local footwear company Daphne Group(达芙妮集团).

Optimedia will handle traditional media and digital media duties for all product-line including namesake Daphne, Shoebox(鞋柜), Aee (爱意), Renee and another yet-to-launch brands.

The account estimated at RMB 50 mIn, and will handle out of Optimedia Shanghai office.

As told, That’s the first time Daphne hires a multinational media agency to leverage its media strategy and implementation, to enhance its brand image and awareness. Previously, the media duties was handled in-house.

Founded in 1987 in Hong Kong, Daphne Group entered into mainland market in 1990, and grows to China’s leading women’s shoe brand. In this first-half, the company reported to gain sales volume of HKD 3.18 bIn.
