Shanghai – Angela Ng (吴雪晶), former Starcom SH&BJ GM has returned to industry, and joined in Mediabrands’ Initiative(极致传媒) as China CEO.

Angela is responsible for leading the development of Initiative’s performance-driven offering in the country, both in traditional and digital communications as well as one-to-one brand building.

As stated from Mediabrands, Initiative China is focused on developing its digital spend offering, while still delivering a complete array of communications services through partners. The agency also focused on developing other areas of its digital offering, including online display and video, in-game advertising, social media marketing, mobile marketing, as well as shopper marketing and in-store promotions.

Most-recently, Angela was General Manager at SCMP Magazines (PRC) where she managed the operation of InStyle China for over a year. She resigned from Starcom MediaVest Group in August 2009.

About her new role, Angela emphasized, “Setting the strategic direction for Initiative China is an exciting opportunity. I’m happy to join a performance-led team with an innovative and unique approach to traditional, digital and one-to-one brand building services.”

Initiative China now counts Pfizer, Uni-President, Nissan, Shanghai Telecom, Grupo Bimbo as major clients, and operates two offices- Beijing and Shaanghai- in China.

Angela started her career at McCann Erickson in 1996, then moved to SMG family for almost ten years at Singapore and China.

In 2005, Angela moved to China to become a business director at Starcom Shanghai, and then elevated to GM for Beijing office, and eventually GM for Shanghai and Beijing before her resignation.
