Shanghai – The winners of the 2011 Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards have been announced at the much anticipated Awards Gala which has just taken place at the Pudong Shangri-La hotel in Shanghai.

Agencies from mainland China took home with 2 golds, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes.

MEC China was the only media agency in China to win at the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards 2011 and was also the biggest winner from China to bag two gold awards. The two gold awards were awarded to MEC’s digital campaign for Mercedes-Benz China “smart – from Buzz to Buy!” in the Most Effective Use of Direct Marketing and the Most Effective Use of Interactive Marketing award categories.

OgilvyOne (for Intel’s ITer)and OgilvyPR ( for Chengdu recovery) took 1 silver and 1 bronze respectively, as well DDB grabbed 1 silver and 1 bronze.
