Cary Huang Joins UM China as MD

Shanghai- Cary Huang(黄浩挺) has joined in Mediabrands’ UM(优盟) China as Managing Director, as current CEO Simon Woodward is going to depart from the agency.

Based in Shanghai, Huang will be charged with providing strategic direction for UM in China across Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and manage the firm’s day-to-day operations. 

Huang carries a strong media reputation, having worked for Maxus, Mindshare, Ogilvy & Mather, and most recently, MediaCom.  Huang will report directly to Jim Hytner, President G14, UM. 

Simon Woodward had took the CEO role at UM for last one-and-half years.

As said, Cary Huang had worked at WPP family for 15 years, and had became MD at MediaCom Shanghai office from 2005.

In this May, Lisa Wei(魏丽锦) had also departed from UM as COO and moved to Aegis Media China as Chief Investment Officer.
