Hong Kong – Japanese cosmetics group Fantastic Natural Cosmetics Limited has moved its media business back to Mediacom, ending a year-long relationship with Carat.

FANCL has a long history with Mediacom Hong Kong, having worked with the agency for 10 years before switching to Carat in November 2011.

Mediacom has already started taking up the media planning and buying responsibilities for FANCL.

This year, the cosmetics group continues to strengthen its brand presence with a series of TVCs for some of its best sellers including Moisture Lock Mask. The advertisements can be seen regularly on prime-time TV and in cinema.

Pauline Chu, managing director of Carat Hong Kong, said there was a conflict of interest with the FANCL account after the agency took up French cosmetic brand Clarins last year.
