Account Executive

Job Summary:
This is the position within Account Management with the primary responsibility of overseeing the effective administration of a piece of business from all perspectives.

The Account Executive is the lynch-pin of the account handling team and is relied upon to conduct the administrative side of an account with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of efficiency.

The Executive is also responsible for the prompt and accurate dissemination of information to all relevant departments within the agency.

As a client-facing member of the agency team, the Account Executive is expected to show enthusiasm for the client’s business at all times and to show a desire to produce outstanding advertising.

In the light of this, he/she should also endeavor to foster excellent relationships with all competencies and to create a stimulating atmosphere within which the best work can be developed.

Once the Executive has mastered the administration side of the job, he/she should look to develop the strategic and management skills expected of Account Supervisors.

Major Contacts:

Administration
· Produces a regular status report on each of his/her accounts.
· Organizes regular internal status meetings.
· Responsible for organizing client meetings and requirements thereof (e.g. booking rooms, lunch, room layout/presentation, etc.).
· Records all client meetings in accurate contact reports, distributed within 24 hours.
· Maintains a central filing system for documentation and tapes.
· Checks the quality of all work leaving the agency.
· Assists the Account Manager in anticipating problems before the arise.
· Develops a reputation with clients and within the agency for total reliability.

Client
· Shows enthusiasm for their client’s business.
· Regularly monitors and analyses competitive advertising and competitive product activity.
· Answers all client queries promptly.

Creative
· Provides creative teams with help to produce stimulus to assist generation of top quality work.
· Works with creative teams to help produce the most relevant presentation materials for new work.
· Collects competitive work and shares it with the Client Team.
· Shadows Account Manager.
· Develops an expert understanding of the agency’s financial systems.
· Takes over specific financial responsibility delegated by the Account Manager.

Management
· Delegates effectively to members of their team/other departments.

Creative Services
· He/she must learn and understand the production process and how work progresses from a written brief to the finished creative product.
· Management, with the team, of the day to day delivery of jobs is a critical area.
· He/she must learn the agency systems and how to assist in implementing them to ensure sound management of projects.

KNABS
· Acts as a central point of contact for all client team issues.
· Is a trusted and effective team administrator.
· Collects and maintains information required by the client team (brand, product, internal procedures, brand guidelines, etc.).

Qualifications / Specific Skill Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising or Marketing major.
· At least 1 years of Account Executive experience.
· Proven track record of exceptional service.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to handle multiple projects through effective organizational skills.
· Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities.


Senior Planning Director

Job Summary:
The job of Planner Director (PD) at Y&R is critically important and requires a rare blend of analytical and intuitive skills, marketing and consumer research experience, principles and pragmatism, thoughtfulness and oratory power.

Major Responsibilities:
· The PD is responsible for the consumer relevance of the brand communication strategy and execution for his/her brands. Acting in concert with a team that includes clients, account managers and creatives, the PD takes a lead role in formulating consumer-driven creative briefs — documents that help the copywriters and art directors with the message, style and tone of the campaign. To do this, the PD will analyze consumer data and conduct primary research with a trained, sensitive eye for those insights that spark the creative process

· The PD will also be actively involved throughout the creative process, helping the agency arrive at the most powerful work by using consumers as a sounding board for ideas. Again, this stage of research requires highly developed interpretive skills on the part of the PD, since he/she is on the front-line conducting and analyzing what people say about the work

· Brand communications takes many forms beyond advertising and the PD plays an important role in focusing graphic design, media, PR, interactive and promotional activities or the critical consumer insights and overall brand communication strategy

· The PD must also take primary responsibility within the agency for evaluating the effects of the campaign in the marketplace. This requires superimposing sales and share data with consumer research tracking brand saliency and image over time. In some cases, computer modeling is used to isolate the specific impact of advertising, pricing, promotions and other elements in the marketing mix

· The successful PD will be a strong team player whose opinion is valued and respected by creative people and account people at the agency, and by clients in both the marketing and research areas

· The PD maintains and supports all company standards as specified within the Quality Management System, and supports/facilitates the mandatory adherence to ISO9001 requirements, processes and procedures

· Job responsibilities may include other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Specific Skill Requirements:
· College degree preferred.
· Interpretive and Strategic thinking skills, with experience in the creation of integrated marketing efforts
· 6-8 years account planning or related advertising experience
· Understanding of the effective use of media (direct, viral, print, internet, broadcast)
· Up to date experience with new and innovative research techniques
· Strong writing and presentation skills
· The ability to inspire creative teams
· Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities
