Associate Strategy Director (creative/audience focus)

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
For this position in Shanghai, there are three core areas of responsibility
1. Audience expert: Being able to develop deep understanding of a wide range of different audience types. This role requires putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and tapping into what motivates them to act.
2. Digital / Social Ecosystem: Understanding how people use technology to connect with each other and brands, as well as the implications for the ever-evolving array of social/digital platforms in China.
3. Creative inspiration: Inspiring creative work is a vital part of this role. Insights are only valuable if they can be the catalyst for our creative teams to generate truly inspirational work.

Additional/more detailed responsibilities include:

INSIGHT GENERATION
• Define and conduct (or partner with others to conduct) appropriate research activities, and evaluate findings. Research activities include:
• Assessing Digital’s role in target audience’s life
• Connect the dots, synthesize and articulate key audience insights in a clear and compelling way

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
• Define a digital program’s strategic vision and business goals to guide strategy development and execution, and to move people to action
• Develop strategies that drive client business performance
• Create digital roadmaps to guide execution of programs and initiatives

DIGITAL THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
• Provide recognized thought leadership and points of view (including white papers) on Digital strategies including eCommerce, Social Media, Digital in retail, etc.
• Create inspirational presentations on Digital that demonstrate smart thinking and strategic insight

MULTI-CHANNEL AND CONSUMER EXPERIENCE VISION
• Provide assessment and vision of the ideal ‘consumer experience’ by defining key capabilities that differentiate clients and meet consumer needs
• Define cross-channel implications and opportunities
• Define impact to brand and consumer audiences

PEOPLE & TEAM MANAGEMENT
• Build strategy team expertise by mentoring junior team members and offering training in relevant methodologies, techniques, frameworks, etc.
• Proactively works to improve process for strategy engagements and team workflow
• As required, carries out and ensures direct reports (managers, analysts) carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Razorfish policies and employment laws
• Advise and assist Discipline Lead on staffing
• Inspires team members to discover game-changing solutions and deliver work of the highest quality

CLIENT ENGAGEMENT & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Build and manage strong working relationships with client decision-makers of the client organization; become trusted advisor; ability to work with marketing, and business executives
• Proactively seek out opportunities to deepen client relationships and “elevate the conversation” within client organizations
• Create RFP responses and proposals, and take a leadership role in pitching new business
• Remain up-to-date on relevant news, best practices and trends within the marketing, media, and technology ecosystem and share this knowledge

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
• High level English and Chinese language skill are both required
• 7+ years Internet, marketing and/or management consulting (consulting, agency or client-side) experience with at least 7 years focused exclusively on the digital space
• Expert knowledge of online advertising, online strategy, basic digital technology capabilities
• Experience leading strategy and digital roadmap projects in a complex business / marketing environment
• Strong understanding of user research, user-centered design principles and online consumer behavior
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic (persuasive) in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients from VP to C-level; comfortable being able to quickly join the client leadership team and immediately add value
• Comfortable solving problems through a ‘hypothesis’ driven approach using a combination of top-down and bottom-up analysis
• Must possess rigorous analytical disciplined approach as well as dynamic, abstract problem solving skills (get to the answer via both “inspiration” and “perspiration”)
• Strong interpersonal skills as team leader and team player with experience managing and training other consultants a plus
• Must have a “change agent” attitude; constantly pushing us and our clients to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA a plus


Project Manager/ Associate Project Manager

Division/Discipline: Delivery Management
Reports to Title: Project Director/ Sr Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing multiple projects at a time (within a given brand or client or potentially across multiple brands or clients) or a singular, large scale project, and ensuring that these projects meet or exceed internal team and client expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget.

This position may be responsible for supervising one or more project coordinators/ executives.
They are also responsible for the accurate financial management of the portfolio of projects to which they’re assigned.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PLANNING
• Works with client team as well as any and all members of assigned project team to estimate costs and timing for tasks such as project strategy, functional design, visual design, technology requirements, etc., utilizing established estimating process and tools.
• May work with Client Engagement to obtain and document client signoff at key points during project.

PROJECT EXECUTION
• Acts as a client point-of-contact for all day-to-day project related issues
• Coordinates all activities of the project team and ensures that project tasks are completed by: scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc,), communicating action steps to team, and delivering weekly status reports to project team, the client and management.
• Develops, maintains, reviews and/or disseminates all project documentation including status reports, invoices, change orders, project schedules, budgets, and post mortem reviews. Ensures that all project documentation is produced in the standard format, follows internal documentation processes and is reviewed and approved.

MONITORING – SCHEDULING & FINANCIALS MANAGEMENT
• Manages and controls project scope and the change control process to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.
• Responsible for delivering work within targeted project & client margins. Also responsible for identifying and communicating issues causing margin changes.
• Manages project financial lifecycle, including estimates, revenue forecasts, invoicing, payables, receivables, etc.

VENDOR MANAGEMENT
• Responsible to get at least 3 quotations to assure for the best value for money deliveries by vendor to execute any project/ task/ delivery
• Responsible to process payment to vendor timely

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of experience in managing interactive projects, preferably in Agency environment
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Value added: Advanced knowledge of coding, software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative, media & digital projects
• Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple project coordinators, leads and/or managers at one time.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin & English
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate staff/project team, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role.
• Expert Microsoft Project and MS Office skills.
• Result and details oriented.
• Strong knowledge of contract interpretation and negotiation.

Account Director

Job Description
1. In charge of internet projects for well known brands. The person should be able to understand clients’ marketing needs and propose appropriate internet solution ranging from tactical internet campaigns to long-term internet strategy, covering search marketing, social media projects, etc.
2. The position should able to build a trusting relationship with clients, and lead clients to embrace digital well into their marketing communications.
3. Lead his/her team to grow and serve the assigned accounts.
4. Manage the project management process including define deliverables, schedule and setting milestone, resources planning, coordinating internal resources, expectation management, testing, launch, tracking and reporting, etc.
5. Ensure resources are well planned and efficiently use with deliverables in high quality standard
6. Achieve revenue and profitability target for the account.

Requirements
1. 7+ years experience in digital / marketing / advertising areas.
2. Strong experience in digital and marketing area, with hands on experience on digital strategy planning, web campaigns, or site development projects.
3. Speak good English, and used to work with foreign clients / colleagues, with international brand / marketing exposure will be an added advantage.
4. Solid account servicing and project management experience.
5. With strong track record in growing business of key multinational brands.
6. Experience on brands related to sports, music and fashion will be an added advantage.
7. Self-motivated showing strong sense of ownership and able to work under pressure.
8. Attention to details and well-organized.
