English Content Lead

Locations: Beijing

Job Description:
As a key member from business perspective, we are actively looking for Consultant or Senior Consultant level candidates as English Content Lead to support MSLGROUP Beijing office in researching/analyzing, storytelling and in conducting desktop research on client projects, executing company initiatives and media monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.Support top international and diversified clients’ external communication in China;
2.Leading English documentation, and be responsible for day-to-day client support by drafting materials (i.e. proposal, executive speech, press releases, briefing books and other documents);
3.Proactively develop relationships with external audiences to convey the client's message and build up proactively communication with clients;
4.Manage international media relations as needed;
5.Conduct English language media monitoring and analysis;
6.Participate in new business pitch;

Capability required:
1.Native English speaker
2.A minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services firm, journalism, public relations, communications or related field is preferred
3.The English Content Lead should have advanced Chinese language skills and an understanding of China's media/PR industry.
4.Good content development capability with excellent communications skills
5.Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail.


Senior Copywriter (Native English Speaker)

Locations: Beijing

General introduction: 
1. MSLGROUP China, a top 5 international PR firm and social media firm, is looking for a native English & Spanish speaking Copywriter for its Beijing office.
2. Corporate & Marketing Communications team. The Copywriter will be responsible for day-to-day client support by drafting materials (i.e. press releases, summary reports, and briefing books), conducting desktop research on client projects, executing company initiatives and media monitoring.
3. The Copywriter should have advanced Chinese language skills and an understanding of China's media/PR industry.
4. MSLGROUP China serves several multinational and Fortune 500 companies. MSLGROUP Asia was recently awarded "PR Agency Network of the Year" in Asia by Campaign. 

Responsibilities: 
1. Draft, translate and edit English language documents for clients, including: media monitoring reports, executive briefing books, press releases, speeches, statements and other documents.
2. Conduct English language media monitoring and analysis.
3. Conduct desktop research for client projects.
4. Manage international media relations as needed.

Qualifications: 
1. Excellent communications skills: Native English speaker. Mandrain is a plus.
2. Understanding of China's PR industry, auto industry is a plus.
3. Experience and capability in drafting English press releases/news reports.
4. Ability to multitask and strong attention to detail.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.
6. University/College degree. 


Senior Consultant

Location: Beijing 

Position Content

The SC Level has responsibility for several Client Teams and for larger retainer Clients and key projects. The SC has a small new business quota and leads retainer pitches as well as working to sell in additional service offerings to existing clients. It is a vital position, s/he must have the capacity to manage team and develop new business.

Competencies (Knowledge & Skill & Behavior):
• Responsible to effectively manage two large/complex client accounts to achieve client results or objectives; ensure high-quality service/deliverables, maintain positive client relationship, and expanding business offering with reasonable profitability;
• Understand the main trends in the client industry and relate them to the PR strategy, use knowledge to advance clients’ program and build thought leadership;
• Make realistic and sound recommendations that takes into consideration short and long-term perspectives, and client’s constraints;
• Supervise the team performance, coach and tutor members to help them to learn and grow, identify team members with different levels of performance & potentials and manage them that will result in an effective retention;
• Expand and own network of senior journalist and influencer relationships and introduce them to clients where needed;
• Able to write pitch proposal of such quality that no further revision and polishing is needed;
• Capabilities to understand the key concept of a brand and how to develop creative ideas based on the concept or key message;
• Team management skill, has passion and sense to coach and grow the members, but not only wants to Control them;
• Good skills in PPT and proposal writing.

Requirement:
• At least 8 years working experience in public relations agency or related, more than 2 years’ experience in managing team work;
• Best have experience in cross-office cooperation, familiar with the regional status of market;
• Have big picture and strategic thinking in PR management. Better to coordinate in business development planning.


Senior Associate

Location: Beijing    

Position Content

The Senior Associate is a senior junior consultant who is able to take independent responsibility for quality delivery of one or more service areas for a particular client, for example handling some overall planning, smaller events, client contacts, etc. The senior associate should also be able to coach and support one junior colleague in daily client work.

Competencies (Knowledge & Skill & Behavior):
• Write reports and simple event proposal, build a sense of overall consciousness;
• Take ownership of responsibility area, able to identify priorities between more than one client, able to lead on small/simple project or retainer;
• Develop essential understanding of client industry and competitors. Responsible for and focused on delivering client results and objectives, independently and within the team;
• Build online influencer relationships and database;
• Brief and guide up to two subordinates, under supervision and alignment with supervisors, on support activities and tasks to be completed;
• Able to incorporate knowledge gained into anticipating issues on daily work and recommend solutions to supervisors;
• Demonstrate sound understanding of design, print and production, and event organization;
• Ability to plan and organize media outreach and other related client events;
• Strong writing skills complimented with extensive media release drafting experience;
• Fluent written and verbal English / Chinese;
• Good at logical thinking and analyzing, proficient in MS office operation.

Requirements 
• Minimum of 4 years PR related experience preferably obtained with leading PR agencies or MNCs.


Consultant

Location: Beijing   

Position Content

The Consultant is a coach who leads one or more Client Teams in a respectful, caring way that allows for pride, growth and satisfaction of juniors. The Consultant is fully responsible for client relations, planning, service delivery and profitability of all services under her/his scope of control. Consultant is a vital position working as a link to connect the whole team and will also participates in developing new business.

Competencies (Knowledge & Skill & Behavior):
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing key strategic documents (e.g., key messages, FAQ);
• A coach who leads in a respectful, caring way that allows for pride, growth and satisfaction of junior Team members, tutor subordinates to become proficient in the written and verbal communication appropriate to their level;
• Independently handle one or more Client Teams in large projects and/or retainer clients; lead internal meetings, set strategy, plan and coordinate daily work. Build trust with the client and be regularly consulted for opinions and ideas;
• Responsible to effectively manage one large/complex client account to achieve client results or objectives;
• Responsible for strategic client service documents and processes such as the Monthly work plan, Yearly work plan, Quality follow-up and Quarterly/yearly reviews;
• Develop PR plans with integrated social media elements and overall media strategy; proficient in using various media tools for individual client needs;
• Expand network of journalists and influencer networks, demonstrate in-depth knowledge of journalists/ influencers' interest and work preference;
• Strong strategic thinking, planning and writing ability. Solid event organization skills;

• Experience of managing 3-4 clients/projects simultaneously or an international client.


Associate Consultant
