About the role… The Finance Director is a key member of the management team responsible for business planning and financial reporting for the agency and to ensure adherence to company and SOX policies and to continue to strive for best practice in all areas of financial management and control. The Finance Director will also provide commercial support to the business.

• Budget and Forecasts
o Partner with management team to develop, review and manage local market budgets and forecasts and to present business plans and budgets to Regional CEO and Greater China, CFO
o Work with management team to ensure amongst other factors that revenue targets and profit margins are met
o Keep Greater China CFO informed of issues facing the local operations as well as risks and upside opportunities

• Reporting
o Ensure timely, accurate management financial reporting and variance analysis
o Oversee the finance team’s reporting of statutory financial reporting including audit and local legislative requirements on a timely and accurate basis
o Prepare and present periodic business reviews to Greater China, CFO
o Handle ad-hoc financial requests as required by global and regional finance
 
• Financial Control
o Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
o Ensure financial controls are sufficient, in place and maintained in line with Sarbanes Oxley and   company Policies and Procedures
o Ensure that proper accounting procedures are followed
 
• Operations
o Partner with the local Managing Director in strategic planning and supporting the growth and commercial health of the business
o Review monthly and quarterly KPIs such as Net working capital, ageing reports, flash management reports to ensure compliance with targets
o Work with MD and Greater China/regional team to ensure that any business/revenue opportunities are identified, maximized and accurate business plans/costing models to support this are submitted
o Ensure all material in contracts are reviewed carefully
o Work with Account Teams and Clients to ensure that contracts are complied with, billing is accurate and timely, and receivables are paid in a timely manner
 
• Client Remuneration and Contractual Requirements
o Review potential new client contracts as and when required
o Review of pricing and revenue formulas for existing and new clients
o Ensure that the market is adhering to terms of client contracts and following regional guidance on client reporting
o Support and occasionally lead client compensation and contract negotiations
o Interface with Client Procurement groups as required


What experience, and skills we’re looking for… 
• Degree in Accounting. CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Sound, decisive quantitative and qualitative analytic skills
• Proactive, “roll-up-the-sleeves”, hands-on leader
• Excellent project management and implementation skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Agency experience is a bonus
