Group Account Director/Business Director

Job Summary:
GAD/BD at Young & Rubicam Guangzhou are responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of relationships between YR and clients, the quality of all deliverables and the integration of ideas and resources across functional groups. They oversee strategy and business development for each client. They draw on a wide range of client-specific experience to help create a big-picture perspective for clients' traditional advertising and digital business efforts.

Major Responsibilities:
• Independently and in partnership with the appropriate YR leaders to develop, refine and implement the business development strategy.
• To identify and develop new business opportunities
• To identify and deliver new business activities augment and/or expand YR services.
• To present and pitch our services to potential clients in a competitive context.
• Oversee client service teams and assure delivery of assigned agency tasks.
• Maintain outstanding relationships with key senior Clients
• Managing and ensuring quality of our services to our existing clients. 
• Management and handling of key client briefs, projects and requests. Including the refinement of the above. 
• The typical day to day management of clients and their requests including presentations, documentation, administration, etc.

Qualifications / Specific Skill Requirements:
• Drive integrated opportunities and drive new business opportunities.
• 10 + years of increasing levels of responsibility and experience managing services and project related business; preferably with a combination of marketing, branding, business process, and ideally, tech industry exposure.
• Be fully conversant in the Chinese social ecosystem, tactics, media formats and KPIs
• Must exemplify leadership and excellence in both client management and in new business development.
• Traditional advertising and digital experience.
• Must have the ability to personally develop a strong external presence for the company.
• Experience managing large staff organizations with service and business development incentives.
• Thorough understanding of marketing new media techniques including Internet, Intranet and extranet development, as well as understanding of overall marketing strategy and integrated communications.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and outstanding presentation abilities.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to be open to new ideas from team members, coworkers, industry sources and clients.
• Ability to manage several projects at once.
• A source of innovation, passion and creative vision.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other departments.
• Must have strong financial management skills.
• And most importantly, you’ll need to be a good fit for YR’s agency culture.


Digital Creative Director

Job Summary:
Creative Directors at Young & Rubicam develop and execute creative concepts for cutting-edge advertising and digital solutions. He/She oversees multiple campaigns, translating them into digital to help drive customer engagement. He/she is leader who actively shape new opportunities for our business, from deepening current client relationships to forging new ones, and for our people, by providing unmatched leadership and motivational skills to everyone on their team.

Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage best in class creative products/campaigns from concept to completion
• Set the creative vision for each of your client projects
• Manage creative teams and tracks of work 
• Apply brand identity systems, typography, photography, color and other ingredients appropriately to create innovative visual solutions that meet business and user needs 
• Create visual prototypes or screens 
• Extend existing visual systems/brand guidelines across all mediums with moderate design changes
• Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables 
• Elevate the level of the work coming out of the creative team 
• Collaborate with strategy, digital, media, account and business development teams to create and develop new business opportunities 
• Understand the clients’ business objectives and how those objectives relate to the target audience, while staying in tune to business issues to generate creative ideas

Qualifications / Specific Skill Requirements:
• Strong understanding of local market and consumers.
• Ideas-led copy based creative with at least 10 years of integration experience in creating overarching ATL/digital ideas for clients, video and photo shooting experiences, previous experience in advertising/digital agencies, or in mobile, internet advertising companies, interactive marketing companies, social media agencies, brand marketing departments preferred
• Be knowledgeable of China social media (BBS, Weibo, WeChat, KOLs, etc.) and digital marketing
• Superior writing skills with proven experience for communication messaging development and writing in different mediums.
• You’ll need to be able to create integrated marketing campaigns with strong in-depth knowledge of brand positioning and industry trends, including digital & technology.
• Hands-on willingness to be involved in all stages of the creative process and creative presentation.
• Excellent creative presentation skills in creative brand story-selling through visuals, storyboards, mood boards etc. 
• Must possess excellent time management skills and have a sense of urgency; proven ability to work on multiple projects at any given time 
• And most importantly, you’ll need to be a good fit for YR’s agency culture.
