Source from Shanghai revealled that, Alex Tan (陈仲杰) will leave MediaCom(竞立媒体) Shanghai office as Managing Director. Alex Tan will join in OMD Shanghai to become Managing Partner, in this March 6th. Alex Tan initially joined the GroupM agency in April 2007 to become Client Services Director, and then promoted to Managing Partner for China in 2010 and majorly oversaw Volkswagen media business. He took the rein of Shanghai office, when then-MD Cary Huang moved to rival UM, in June 2011. Prior to MediaCom, Tan worked at Starcom Shanghai as General Manager, and had stints at UM and BBDO Singapore. Till now, it's still unclear who will replace Tan in MediaCom Shanghai.
