SHANGHAI – Starcom(星传媒体) Shanghai recently has been appointed by Shanghai Jahwa(上海家化),as its new media agency in mainland. GroupM's Maxus also included in the final-round. Starcom will handle chunk of media planning and buying duties for the largest domestically-owned Chinese manufacturer of cosmetics and family care products such as renowned brand matrix-Maxam（美加净）,GF(高夫), Liu shen（六神） etc. And, its brand herborist(佰草集) should excluded, according to another source. As said, Shanghai Jahwa spent near RMB 500mIn Yuan on media per year, according to some data. Publicis and Allied Advertising are two major creative rosters in here. As another source said, the incumbent MediaCom Shanghai had resigned the business in earlier this year. MediaCom has worked on Shanghai Jahwa for two-plus years, from mid-2007.
