Source from Shanghai told us, Fanny Yum (任妙玲 Yum Miu Ling) has resigned from MullenLowe China as CEO, before Chinese New Year.

She has been worked at MullenLowe (previously LOWE) for more than 8 years and had been promoted to CEO of Lowe China in Jan.2016.

Prior to that, Fanny Yum was national Managing Director and General Manager of Beijing office at Lowe China.

When we contacted MullenLowe Group China, the spokesman send a feedback via email to us," As her current contract expires by year end 2017, Fanny has decided to start the new year with a new venture; she will take a short break and to explore a different stint on what she wish to do, which she has not concluded yet. Having been with the company for slightly over 7 years, first in Beijing then in Shanghai,  Fanny had made many positive contributions to the company. We sincerely thank Fanny for her past contributions to the company and staff, and we wish her great successes in her future endeavor in 2018!" (updated in 22nd, Feb. 2018)

During last two years, Ms. Yum based Shanghai and was responsible for managing the Lowe operations across China – Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Lowe, Fanny gained extensive experience at DraftFCB Beijing, McCann Erickson Beijing, BBDO Shanghai and Bates Beijing, and has a successful track record serving many multinational blue chip clients including Motorola, Pepsi, FedEx, Nestle, China Mobile, Founder and Visa.

In June 2017, MullenLowe restructured its operations in mainland China and formed newly MullenLowe China group, which combined creative agency MullenLowe China and digital agency MullenLowe Profero. Former DDB China chief Richard Tan (陈仲翰)joins the IPG's network and led whole MullenLowe Group China as CEO. And, Fanny Yum continued previous role as CEO of MullenLowe China.

Following the movement, MullenLowe China CSO Baiping Shen(沈柏屏) departed the agency. In the other side, Profero China's long-time Managing Director Jackie Xu (徐睿) had been earlierly jumped to Edelman Shanghai.

The bigger MullenLowe Group China is just 230-person agency across three offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu.

Eventually,
There's no room for two CEOs.
