Mindshare bolsters China Operations with three senior hires

Asmita Dubey(L) to oversee L'Oreal Business as MD, and Pete Wong (R) to lead Mindshare Digital China

SHANGHAI – Mindshare has further strengthened its China operations with a series of key senior appointments and promotions. Former head of Mindshare Beijing, Asmita Dubey has assumed the position of Managing Director for the L'Oreal business. In her new role, Asmita will be based out of the agency’s China headquarters in Shanghai. A well-respected media and marketing professional, Asmita has been with Mindshare for the last five years and brings with her invaluable experience garnered through her years working within the media arenas across India, Middle East and China. Pete Wong(黄吉乐) has been appointed Head of Digital, Mindshare China. Pete joins Mindshare from Dell.com (Greater China Consumer Group) where he was General Manager & Director for the Greater China Online Business, bringing with him in-depth China experience as well as expertise in e-commerce, online marketing, social media and mobile. Pete’s experience is broad and diverse, spanning local and international internet companies operating in China such as Ebay China and Eachnet.com. Daniel Koh(许顺杰) will join the L’Oreal team as General Manager, bringing with him over 14 years of experience in media and advertising, of which half were spent in China. Daniel joins Mindshare from Starcom MediaVest Group where he was General Manager, XPanse China. Daniel reports directly to Asmita. “In view of the recent L’Oreal and Yili business wins, our business is growing very quickly. Therefore identifying, positioning and hiring a good management team is imperative for Mindshare China. I am delighted to have Asmita, Pete and Daniel working closely with me and the rest of the senior management. They definitely are the right fit for the Mindshare culture,” said Melvyn Goh, President of Mindshare China. “This is but the first phase of our expansion plans. Good talent are the building blocks that make our business but they are not always easy to come by so we are always on the lookout for passionate and talented specialists to join the Mindshare China family,” added Melvyn.
