BRAND STRATEGIST


Role

This role is about helping some of the world’s most iconic global FMCG brands to succeed in China by understanding attitudes, motivations and behaviours of modern Chinese consumers and their influencers. Alongside the strategy director, you’ll walk the walk from conducting your own research to translating your observations into mind-opening insights and those insights into gamechanging strategies. You’ll be a source of inspiration for big, powerful creative ideas as well as at every tiny, little step of the consumer journey.
As part of an integrated planning team, you are expected to become the to-go person for deep consumer understanding, no matter if it is about their lifestyle, media usage, shopping behaviour, and/ or consumption habits. Looking at those through the lens of culture as well trends should be something you are familiar with and have fun doing.


Responsibilities

• Understand the client’s business & how communication can help to reach their goals.

Conduct & analyze primary & secondary research for consumer, communication & competitive reviews to identify strength, weaknesses, opportunities & threats.

• Work alongside creatives, client services, media, content creators etc. feeding them insights, ideas and thinking from opportunity identification to execution.

Inform, inspire, educate and motivate us and our clients with insights & trends.


Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the brand strategy space.

Working knowledge of brand planning, communication planning and research as well as digital & social strategy from briefing to completion.

Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven (agency) setting.

Strong analytical, logical, and imaginative thinking.

• Solid writing & presentation skills.

• Fluent in Mandarin and English.

• Passion for communication and creativity.

• Low ego, high sense of humor.
